Copilationnade
Dictionary entry
Copilationnade — A meeting or series of meetings that justify their own existence, where the mere fact of taking place constitutes an achievement in itself.
Noun · Crestignacian.
Definition: A meeting or series of meetings that justify their own existence, where the mere fact of taking place constitutes an achievement in itself.
Underlying meaning: Beneath its methodical and indispensable appearance, a copilationnade is a series of self-justifying meetings that do not necessarily bring any decision closer: plenty of activity, no actual progress. Copilationneurs do not regard the activity as pointless.
Example — Crestignacian Annals:
“We had been copilationating for three hours when the president asked why.
‘To ensure the quality of our own copilationnades,’ came the reply.”
Fundamental principle — Crestignacian Annals:
“A copilationnade, like a duchifestation, is always successful, since its very purpose is to take place.”
From the Annals: A copilationnade is regarded as one of the noblest administrative emergencies in Crestignac. Only bargebouilles mistake it for an ordinary meeting.
Word family: to copilationate, copilation, copilationneur, copilationneuse.
